Survey on policing at Colorado College October 2020
Hello everyone. First of all, we want to thank everyone who has given us feedback on our proposal draft that was released in September. If you have not yet read the proposals, you can read them here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1AypDmSDennItRwNq_P7KRqM4ZI-036Ru0706QOG9wEU/edit?usp=sharing

We are immensely grateful to all who participated in the town hall on Wednesday, October 21.  We want to recognize that certain aspects of the meeting were unexpected and jarring. We apologize for this and are here to support you in any way we can. We also believe it is necessary and CAL's mission to respond and act against those kinds of deeply offensive occurrences. We unequivocally denounce the white supremacist symbolism and speech promoted by Community Relations Sergeant Jason Newton (former Campus Resource Officer at Colorado College).

Today we are releasing this survey to gauge campus opinions on Colorado College's relationship with CSPD specifically after the town hall. We greatly appreciate your input and hope to use our conversations in the next weeks to finalize our proposals and to collect as much feedback as possible to present to the administration. **YOU CAN FILL OUT THIS SURVEY EVEN IF YOU DIDN`T ATTEND THE TOWN HALL**

How can CAL support you after the town hall?
What were your main takeaways from the town hall?
What do you think CAL can do better for the next town hall?
Do you support full divestment from CSPD? (This would mean not having any formal or financial relationship with CSPD, ending the Campus Resource Officer position but still maintaining Campus Safety).
